The wonderful general store seen in the movie is located in "old" Moneta, Virginia. It was and still is a wonderful old general store with all the original character of the 1900's tin ceilings, worn wood floors, and lots and lots of local history.
This old building is home to quilt designer Kim Deneault. The studio is normally closed to the public, but during July & August 2006 it will be open on Saturdays 10-5.
Stop in to see the wonderful building and shop around for one of a kind movie props, antiques, and stuff during Kim's tag sale. Seventeen original "Raggedy Reverse Applique" quilt patterns will also be for sale.
